YAM Tunku Dato’ Seri Shahabuddin bin Tunku Besar Burhanuddin

Executive Chairman

YAM Tunku Dato’ Seri Shahabuddin was born in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. He attended secondary school at Malay College, Kuala Kangsar and graduated from Queens University of Belfast with a Bachelor of Science (Economics). He was appointed Executive Chairman of Strateq Group in 1990.

Tunku is on the board of several public companies including Axis REIT Managers Berhad, Berjaya Assets Berhad and Iris Corporation Berhad. He is a board member Totalisator Board of Malaysia, is Honorary Life Chairman of the Malaysia Australia Business Council and is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Selangor Sports and Equestrian Centre.

Tunku was previously Chairman of the Automobile Association of Malaysia (for 23 years) and was on the inaugural board of the National Research Institute (SIRIM). He was also a founding committee member of the Malaysia South-South Association and the Malaysia Canada Business Council and was the first Malaysian to be appointed President of the Asia-Pacific Region of the Alliance International de Tourism.

Datuk Ir Dr Ahmad Fikri Hussein

Group Chief Executive Officer

Datuk Ir Dr Ahmad Fikri Hussein is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Strateq and a member of the Board of Directors of Strateq since 2007. He is responsible for advancing the strategic vision of Strateq Group to create sustainable growth and long term shareholder values.

With over 20 years of experience in the engineering and consultancy arena, he is instrumental in driving Strateq forward to be a truly global leader that provides agile solutions and services. Under his leadership, Strateq is strengthening is leadership position in the local ICT arena through continued investments in business offerings, services enhancement and talent development.

Datuk Ir Dr Ahmad Fikri Hussein

Group Chief Executive Officer

Datuk Ir Dr Ahmad Fikri Hussein is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Strateq and a member of the Board of Directors of Strateq since 2007. He is responsible for advancing the strategic vision of Strateq Group to create sustainable growth and long term shareholder values.

With over 20 years of experience in the engineering and consultancy arena, he is instrumental in driving Strateq forward to be a truly global leader that provides agile solutions and services. Under his leadership, Strateq is strengthening is leadership position in the local ICT arena through continued investments in business offerings, services enhancement and talent development.

Yeap Chong Boon

Group Chief Operating Officer

Yeap Chong Boon was appointed the Group Chief Operating Officer of Strateq since 2007. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Strateq.

Bringing with him over 25 years’ experience in the ICT industry, Yeap provides strategic leadership for the Group’s organisational, financial and operational planning and implementation.

During his over 22 years with the Group, Yeap’s responsibilities included business and operations management, product and service development and international business, among others.

Tan Seng Kit

Executive Director, STRATEQ Group
CEO, STRATEQ Health Inc.

Tan Seng Kit has over a decade of experience as an entrepreneur, executive director, board member, visionary leader and advisor in the field of information technology, oil and gas and healthcare. He has demonstrated leadership skills in business development, general management, strategic and tactical planning, and has a solid track record of turning businesses around to make them more competitive and profitable in today’s challenging marketplace.

In his capacity as Executive Director for Strateq Group and CEO for Strateq Health Inc, Mr. Tan leads the strategic planning and operational development for the Group in Malaysia and internationally. He has been instrumental for the Group’s partnerships and alliance relationships and under his leadership the organization has grown both breath and scale and is now present in five countries in Asia and in the United States. At present, Mr. Tan is the CEO of Strateq Health Inc, provider of the innovative cloud-based Clinical RCM system for hospitals called 37 Degrees (formed and launched in 2014).

Mr. Tan brings with him over a decade of technology expertise honed in the oil & gas and retail technology industry. He started out as a systems engineer at SCS Systems Sdn Bhd in Malaysia. Subsequently, he joined Shell Malaysia as a consultant on retail technology before moving to Singapore to take on a leadership and business development role in Singapore Computer Systems Ltd where he successfully expanded and made profitable, the oil and gas vertical. He accelerated growth for the organization rapidly and was given the mandate to take responsibility of the sales and operations portfolio.

Mr. Tan was hired by Strateq Group as the lead person for the organization’s oil and gas portfolio. In this capacity, he successfully propelled the company to be one of the forerunners in the oil and gas space in Malaysia and the region. Mr. Tan is pivotal to the growth of Strateq Group in Asia and the establishment of five representative offices is a testament of his success.

Prior to his current role as Executive Director, Mr. Tan served as the Head of IT Infrastructure and Technology Services whereby he oversaw the Group’s IT infrastructure and services business. Here, he led the restructuring and turnaround exercise for the Data Center and Enterprise Business and transformed them into profitable business units within a short span of time. Subsequently, he reviewed the business strategy for Strateq Health in Malaysia and streamlined its service offerings, which led to the creation of 37 Degrees, the company’s flagship healthcare solution, which enables hospitals to run more efficiently and improve patient care. Mr. Tan later grew Strateq Health in Malaysia and the region before propelling it into the US market.

Mr. Tan holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from the Hawaii Pacific University, Hawaii, USA.
